TRIAXIS ARE - A heavy metal band from Cardiff
In an age when so many bands come and go as they jump on the latest trend, Triaxis stand out as a bastion for timeless Heavy Metal. They know what they love, and they set about writing and performing unashamedly rocking Metal songs that are as hard-hitting and raw now as they would have been if these guys had been around in the heyday of Metal's chart success. Memorable tunes, delivered with a passion and confidence that only a seasoned group of musicians can possess, have cemented their place at the head of the UK's resurgent Heavy Metal scene.
Their EP 'Lord of the Northern Sky' was released in August 2008 and has since sold out following its unprecedented and exceptionally positive reception from fans worldwide. Triaxis achieved the number one position in both the Heavy Metal charts at Unsigned UK and the W!ldplum Chart, as well as becoming finalists in the South Wales Oxjam Battle of the Jams.
Following the success of their EP, Triaxis self-released their debut full-length album 'Key To The Kingdom' in August 2009 to widespread critical acclaim, including plaudits from Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Zero Tolerance, and many other magazines - as well as glowing praise from many leading music websites. They have also made numerous radio appearances, including airplay on Bruce Dickinson's BBC Rock Show. The album launch was supported with a run of successful live shows, including a headline-grabbing set on the unsigned stage at Bloodstock Open Air and an appearance as hand-picked support for Diablo Swing Orchestra's only UK date (at the Purple Turtle in London).
The band are currently writing new material while they organise worldwide distribution for 'Key to the Kingdom' and continue to promote the album with their usual intensity in a live setting, including appearances at numerous UK festivals.
